This concoction was made up after sampling 20 different barrels in our barrel room. We were impressed by the depth the bourbon barrels had added to this Imperial Stout. This resulted in a blended beer that offers a bit of both, a little bit of barrel, a little bit of roastiness and a little sweetness. The first sip will throw you off a little, there’s loads going on. It finishes dry with a long aftertaste of bakers chocolate and vanilla, which are mainly coming from the bourbon barrels.
